God's Refuge Inc. was founded in 2003 after determining the growing need for a shelter and training facility. The purpose of the organization is to address the struggles that many face when going through various situations. The organization directly addresses the issues, which communities are facing and provides a solution to these issues.
By providing a place of refuge to the hurting, GRI wants to help people see past their situation and move into their future. While the struggle may be hard, the journey only makes us stronger. The key to any situation lies in ones ability to be determined and dedicated in rising above that situation.
The overall goal of the organization is to decrease the number of homeless individuals as well as provide assistance to individuals who are living in poverty. With poverty increasing, the organization seeks to provide more opportunities to address the situation as well as make more resources available to individuals. GRI's strives to be able to provide shelter, transitional housing, vocational and educational training, counseling, and many other services that will benefit individuals of all ages.
